On Thursday, NEON released the official trailer for Spencer. The film, which stars Kristen Stewart as Princess Diana, will be released on November 5th.
Diana arrives at the Sandringham Estate for a three-day visit with her children, as seen in the teaser. Her marriage to Prince Charles (Jack Farthing) is already rocky at this time.
Diana’s marriage is on the verge of dissolving, so she has to keep up appearances. In 1996, the divorce was finalized.
Diana is also seen spending time with Prince William (Jack Nielen) and Harry in the clip (Freddie Spry). In various sequences, she breaks down, yet she also shows a joyful, glamorous side to the camera.
Spencer had its world premiere on September 3 at the Venice Film Festival. It also screened at the Telluride Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, with more screenings planned for September and October.
Spencer was directed by Pablo Larrain from a scenario written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight. Jackie, starring Natalie Portman as Jacqueline Kennedy, was also directed by Larrain.
