Beck Bennett leaves ‘Saturday Night Live,’ and three new cast members join.

Beck Bennett has left Saturday Night Live, which has added three new cast members to its long-running sketch comedy show.

Bennett announced his departure from Saturday Night Live on Instagram on Monday, posting behind-the-scenes photographs from the show.

“I adore you, Saturday Night Live. I’m going to miss you a lot. Thank you for eight years of amazing people and fantastic events that have truly transformed my life. Bennett said, “I had so much fun.”

For Season 47, which premieres on October 2, SNL will introduce three new feature players: Aristotle Athari, James Austin Johnson, and Sarah Sherman.

Aidy Bryant, Michael Che, Pete Davidson, Mikey Day, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Colin Jost, Kate McKinnon, Alex Moffat, Kyle Mooney, Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Melissa Villaseor, and Bowen Yang are now part of the full cast, which also includes Athari, Andrew Dismukes, James Austin Johnson, Punkie Johnson, and Sherman.

Season 24 will begin with Owen Wilson as the first guest host and Kacey Musgraves as the musical guest. The following week, on October 9, Kim Kardashian and Halsey will appear.

The concert will subsequently be hosted by Rami Malek and Young Thug on October 16, followed by Jason Sudeikis and Brandi Carlile on October 23.
