In 2022, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will go on a world tour.
In a video released on Friday, the rock band announced plans for a new global stadium tour.
RHCP’s Anthony Kiedis and Flea play KHOT news anchors Johnson Hammerswaddle and Todd the Squirrel, respectively, and Chad Smith plays weatherman Randy Raindrops in the wacky film.
RHCP’s John Frusciante is interviewed by Johnson (Kiedis) and Todd (Flea), who announces that the world tour will begin in June 2022. The tour will begin in July in the United States.
The tour’s dates and sites have yet to be announced by RHCP.
The announcement comes after Frusciante’s reunion with the band. Following the resignation of guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, Frusciante returned to RHCP in December 2019. He first joined the band in 1988 and left in 1992.
“Josh is a wonderful musician that we admire and admire. RHCP noted at the time, “We are immensely grateful for our time with him and the innumerable gifts he shared with us.” “We also announce, with much pleasure and joy in our hearts, that John Frusciante will be returning to our band.”
The Getaway, RHCP’s 11th studio album, was released in 2016.
