The gunman in a grocery store shooting was identified by Tennessee police.
The identities of the victim and the gunman murdered in a mass shooting at a Tennessee grocery store this week were disclosed by police on Friday.
Olivia King, according to Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane, was slain in a shooting in Shelby County, Tennessee, on Thursday. During Friday’s press conference, he refused to name the shooter, but authorities later identified him as UK Thang, 29.
The gunman was a third-party vendor for the Kroger grocery store, not an employee, according to officials.
Lane also raised the number of victims of the shooting from 14 to 15. He refused to say why the shooting happened.
“We’re all curious about the ‘why.'” But we’re not ready to tell you that today, less than 24 hours later,” he said.
Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday, the Collierville Police Department received a report of an active shooter. A self-inflicted bullet killed the shooter as well.
