‘Castle’ gets a new, exclusive cable home with Lifetime.

The crime drama Castle, starring Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, has made Lifetime its exclusive cable television home.

On October 5 at 2 p.m. EDT, the network will premiere Season 1 of Castle. The show will be on the air until November.

Castle will then take a multi-week hiatus on Lifetime. Before the series begin in January 2022, there will be a Christmas movie event based on It’s a Wonderful Life.

On the show, Fillion played Richard Castle, a famous mystery novelist who is engaged by the NYPD to solve a series of murders based on his books.

Richard Castle joins forces with Katic’s detective Kate Beckett and stays with the NYPD since it provides him with new material for his writings. The two then began working together to solve crimes, including the murder that started it all.

From 2009 until 2016, Castle aired on ABC for eight seasons. Susan Sullivan, Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, Molly C. Quinn, Tamala Jones, Penny Johnson Jerald, and Ruben Santiago-Hudson are among the cast members.
