By the time we get to Sunday, the New England Patriots will have played the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the most anticipated regular season game in NFL history. The ticket prices alone should suffice as proof. As of writing, the cheapest tickets for the game on StubHub are upwards of $275, according to TMZ Sports . On the ticket reseller, the average ticket price is a whopping $1,222. According to the report, that sum is 20% more than the second-most expensive NFL game.
That’s a sum that dwarfs some of college football’s biggest and most anticipated games in recent years. But, like those games, this NFL game at Gillette Stadium may feel like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Tom Brady will return to the stadium where he helped the New England Patriots win a half-dozen Super Bowl banners and established himself as an NFL legend. It will undoubtedly be an emotional return.

Even if this isn’t Brady’s final NFL season, it’ll almost certainly be his last time playing in Gillette Stadium.
The Buccaneers won’t play in Gillette Stadium for at least 4-8 years, and if Brady is still with the Buccaneers, he might be retired by then.
It’ll be an emotional night in Massachusetts, win or lose. And to be a part of it, fans will pay top dollar. Will Brady lead New England to victory?
