Xavier Prather became the first Black winner of Big Brother Season 23.
On Wednesday, Prather won the $750,000 top prize after receiving all nine jury votes over Derek Frazier.
Third place went to Azah Awasum. The trio was a part of the Cookout coalition, which was made up entirely of Black people. Early in Season 23, the group began to collaborate in order for one of them to win.
Tiffany Mitchell took home the $50,000 prize for America’s Favorite Houseguest.
Season 24 of Big Brother will premiere next summer, with Julie Chen as host. Potential participants are invited to apply. Celebrity Big Brother is set to return in February.
