The Jacksonville Jaguars entered their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night with an 18-game losing streak. After 30 minutes of play, the Jaguars appear to be on their way to their first win of the season. Cincinnati got the game started with a strong drive that stalled in Jaguars territory and ended with a 43-yard field goal attempt that was missed. Since then, it’s been all Jacksonville, as the Jaguars went into halftime with a 14-0 lead. However, that lead could have been even bigger, as Trevor Lawrence’s best throw of the night put the Jaguars in position to score before the half ended. Lawrence rolled out to his right and launched a pass to wide receiver Laviska Shenault off one leg. The pass travelled more than 50 yards in the air and stunned the NFL world. Here’s the play:

Unfortunately for the Jaguars, Lawrence was stuffed on a fourth-and-goal attempt from the Bengals one-yard line a few plays later. Despite the missed scoring opportunity, Jacksonville must be pleased with the current score. Cincinnati was a 7-point favorite going into the game. Despite being a 5-point favorite, the team is in serious danger of falling to 2-2 on the season. We’ll have to see if the Jaguars can hold on or if Joe Burrow can lead the Bengals to a comeback victory.
