The Jacksonville Jaguars will face the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night, with the last two No. 1 overall picks going head-to-head. Joe Burrow, the No. 1 overall pick in 2020, has had it a little easier than Trevor Lawrence, the No. 1 overall pick in 2021. With seven interceptions in his first three games, he is tied for first in the league. Lawrence and the Jaguars are looking for their first win of the season after an 0-3 start.
While the 2021 season hasn’t gone exactly as planned, life off the field is going swimmingly. Lawrence married his longtime girlfriend, Marissa Mowry, earlier this offseason. Former Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence (L) and his fiancée Marissa Mowry watch play on the 13th hole during the first round of the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club on April 08, 2021 in Augusta, Georgia.
She wrote on Instagram, “Just so beyond grateful to be a part of this program and learn from all these amazing women.” “Being a part of this team has truly been a blessing and an honor. I’ve already learned a lot from them, and we’ve been able to grow together and encourage one another. ”
“God has truly blessed us with some incredible people here, and I’m eternally grateful. The NFL road isn’t always as easy as it appears, but these women handle it all with grace. I’ve been able to witness their collective strength. They all share the same love. And then there’s the fight that they’re all having. The Jags have an incredible team and spirit, and I have a lot of faith in this place and program. I’m ecstatic for all of our guys, but I’m also ecstatic and proud of each of these ladies! This is the first of many events I’ll be forcing you to attend (; I love you guys, and Go Jags! ”
Throughout the first three weeks of the season, Marissa has been a regular at Jaguars games. We’re sure she’ll be watching Trevor and the Jaguars tonight.
At 8:20 p.m., Jacksonville and Cincinnati will face off. The game will be broadcast on NFL Network at 8:00 p.m. ET.
