Phoebe Robinson will star in and write the comedy “Everything’s Trash” for Freeform.
Freeform has ordered a half-hour comedy series based on Phoebe Robinson’s book, Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay, written by 2 Dope Queens alum Phoebe Robinson.
The program, about a 30-something podcast celebrity navigating her messy life, will be executive produced, written, and starred in by the comedian.
Jordan Carlos, Moses Storm, Nneka Okafor, and Toccarra Cash will star in the film, which will be directed by co-executive producer Chioke Nassor.
Tara Duncan, president of Freeform and Onyx Collective, said in a statement Thursday, “Phoebe has one of the most unique and wonderfully cutting voices in the business.”
“Everything’s Trash is a fantastic addition to the Freeform slate, offering a unique perspective on a woman navigating adulthood on her own terms.”
