The Jacksonville Jaguars were dealt some devastating news on Thursday night when one of their wide receivers suffered a significant injury. Wide receiver D.J. Chark suffered a fractured ankle, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport’s report. When Jaguars running back James Robinson and a slew of defenders collided with Chark’s legs while he was blocking, he was injured.
The former LSU wide receiver rolled over in pain almost immediately and had to be carried off the field. The play’s video shows how badly Chark’s leg bends in an awkward manner.
The football world was shocked to learn that one of the league’s brightest prospects had suffered a serious injury. “Ugh. Terrible..”
“Chark is such a talented young player who is so important to Trevor Lawrence’s development,” NFL analyst Matt Lombardo said.
