Unwittingly joining his own search team, a missing Turkish guy was discovered.
A Turkish man who had gone lost after a night of drinking in the woods was discovered after joining his own search team unwittingly.
Beyhan Mutlu, 50, of Inegol, said he and his buddies were in Cayyaka for a construction job when they spent the evening drinking in the woods.
At after 2 a.m., Mutlu returned to a friend’s villa to sleep, but his pals mistook him for a drunken wanderer and reported him missing to the police.
The construction worker claimed he awoke the next morning to find a search party looking for a missing person. Mutlu said he joined the search group and didn’t realize he was the guy they were looking for until other members of the search party began chanting his name.
“They referred to me as ‘Beyhan Mutlu.’ He told the Daily Sabah, “I said, ‘Oh, that’s me.'”
Police interviewed Mutlu before releasing him.
“Everything happened as if it were a joke,” he claimed.
