Rob Gronkowski, the tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has been officially ruled out of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. If that wasn’t bad enough, due to his current injury, he may have to miss even more time. Gronkowski was hit in the ribs last weekend, and it cost him
. Although he was able to return to the game, he was unable to practice this week. The initial X-rays on Gronkowski were negative, but the follow-up MRIs were not. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the All-Pro tight end has multiple fractured ribs, which will keep him out for several weeks.
According to Schefter’s sources, Tampa Bay didn’t rule Gronkowski out right away because of his toughness. “We held out hope all week that he’d be ready,” a source told Schefter. “He’s a unique breed..” ”

Buccaneers fans are understandably worried about Gronkowski. They’d like to see him on the field this Sunday, but they’d rather he rest until he’s close to 100 percent. “Not good..”

Gronkowski has rediscovered his youth this season, catching 16 passes for 184 yards and four touchdowns. Gronkowski is expected to make a full recovery and return to the field in the near future.
