The Pittsburgh Steelers received some bad news about one of their best players on Saturday afternoon. Chase Claypool (
), a wide receiver, was a surprising addition to the injury report this week. He appeared on the injury report in the middle of the week after escaping last weekend’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals unscathed. The Steelers have ruled Claypool out of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers, just a few days later. Claypool leads the Steelers with 211 receiving yards, so this is a big loss for the offense. Fans reacted to Claypool’s injury news on social media after learning he wouldn’t be playing against the Packers.

[wpcc-script async src=” https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js ” Over the last two weeks, Pittsburgh’s best players have been a constant on the injury report. T.J. Watt and Alex Highsmith, the team’s top two pass rushers, were both inactive against the Bengals last week. So did star wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who is expected to play against Green Bay on Sunday. JuJu Smith-Schuster, a fellow wide receiver, has been listed as injured, but he will play against the Packers. At 4:25 p.m., Pittsburgh and Green Bay will face off. CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET.
