Chase Claypool, a second-year wideout, was a late addition to the Pittsburgh Steelers’ injury report this week due to a hamstring issue. Claypool was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers by the Steelers on Friday. The team provided an update on the talented wide receiver less than 24 hours later.
Claypool has been officially ruled out of tomorrow’s game by the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is obviously a huge blow to a Steelers offense that is already struggling to find its footing. Claypool had nine receptions for 96 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals last week. It’ll be difficult to replace that level of play, especially if tomorrow’s game against the Packers becomes a shootout.

On the plus side, Diontae Johnson and JuJu Smith-Schuster will be available for Sunday’s game. Smith-Schuster was forced to leave last week’s game with a rib injury, while Johnson was unable to play due to a knee injury. To keep up with Green Bay, Pittsburgh will need Smith-Schuster and Johnson to play exceptionally well on Sunday. In addition, the Steelers will rely on rookie tailback Najee Harris to maintain his high level of play. In Week 3, he had 14 receptions. The Steelers are hoping to avoid a 1-3 start to the 2021 season.
The game between the Packers and the Steelers begins at 4:25 p.m. CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET. Nokia News
