With a gruesome leg injury, Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery left today’s game against the Detroit Lions. In the second half of Sunday’s game, Montgomery, one of the league’s best running backs, appeared to suffer a serious knee injury. Due to the gruesome nature of the injury, FOX did not show a replay of it. Montgomery, 24, had been having a fantastic season. Prior to Sunday’s game, he ranked sixth in the league in rushing yards. He had rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns prior to the injury.

It’s a shame he had to leave the game with an apparent injury. I’m hoping it wasn’t as bad as it appears.
