Florida’s loss tonight stunned the college football world.

It had been over 30 years since Kentucky’s football team had defeated Florida in Lexington, but that all changed on Saturday night. On Saturday evening, Mark Stoops’ team defeated Dan Mullen’s Gators, 20-13. With the win, Kentucky improved to 5-0, while Florida, the nation’s No. 10 team, fell to 3-2.

A crazy field goal block return sparked the Wildcats.

The college football community reacted to the upset on social media. “IT HAPPENED!”

“Kentucky upsets No. 10 Florida for the first time since 1986, defeating the Gators at home,” ESPN tweeted.

“The Wildcats are 5-0 and 3-0 in the SEC. Fans are storming the field after they beat the Gators at home for the first time since 1986,” Kyle Tucker added. In the meantime, Florida fans are enraged.

“You don’t lose to Kentucky in Florida.”

You don’t do it for two or four years as a coach. “Fire Mullen,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“As I previously stated, Florida is not a top 10 team, and they are most likely not even a top 25 team.” At this point in the season, their coaching appears to be suspect. Some high school football teams today appear to be better than the Gators. “There’s no excuse,” said another supporter.

Florida will look to rebound against Vanderbilt next week.
