Before becoming the head coach of Notre Dame’s football team, Brian Kelly was building Cincinnati into a respectable program. The two teams met at South Bend on Saturday afternoon in a battle between two top-10 teams.
The Bearcats proved to the sports world that they belong in the College Football Playoff conversation by defeating the Fighting Irish 24-13 on the road. Desmond Ridder, the team’s star quarterback, led the way, completing 20-of-33 pass attempts for 293 yards and two touchdowns.
Following Saturday’s win over Notre Dame, Cincinnati released a video montage of old press conferences from Kelly’s time with the Bearcats.
In the video that was shared on social media, Kelly said, “Cincinnati is a great place to be..” ”

It’s appropriate that Cincinnati used Kelly’s clip.
For a long time, the Bearcats were known for their basketball success. The football program at the university is now regarded as one of the best in the country.
Kelly led Cincinnati to a 12-0 record during the 2009 season. Only time will tell if Luke Fickell is capable of breaking that record. He’s off to a great start so far.
Cincinnati is 4-0 and has a very favorable schedule to finish the regular season. If everything goes according to plan, the Bearcats could be a member of the College Football Playoff’s four-team field. Nokia News
