On Sunday night, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without star tight end Rob Gronkowski when they face the New England Patriots.
Gronkowski and Tom Brady were both excited to return to New England, despite some painful injuries getting in the way. Gronkowski was ruled out by the Buccaneers earlier this week. In fact, he was unable to make the trip due to his injuries. Gronkowski recently revealed to FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer that he is dealing with a number of painful injuries. “Rob Gronkowski says he has “four cracked ribs, one broken rib, and a punctured lung,” which is about the only thing that would have kept him out of this game!”
“There was so much more damage than there was out there,” Glazer explained.
The Buccaneers’ star tight end is expected to be out for several weeks. However, given Gronk’s history, it wouldn’t surprise me if he returned sooner.
The Buccaneers and Patriots will face off at 8:20 p.m. ET. On NBC, there’s an episode of E.T. Nokia News
