Justin Fields’ first NFL start was a disaster. Against the Cleveland Browns, the former Ohio State Buckeyes star made his first start. Fields struggled mightily in the passing game as the Bears were blown out by the Browns.
This week, the first-round pick will have another chance. On Saturday night, the Bears announced that veteran quarterback Andy Dalton would miss another game due to injury. While it appeared that Nick Foles would be the starting quarterback in Week 4, Fields will take his place.

Bears fans are ecstatic to see Fields get another chance, but they’re cautious. The Lions and their defense, on the other hand, should be a little more forgiving than Myles Garrett and the Browns’ pass rush. In the meantime, Lions fans were hoping for Dalton or Foles.

Fields has no awareness of his surroundings. We limited Jackson’s rushing yardage. Aaron, I’m sure, will use a variety of pass rush strategies. Another fan added, “I’d rather have Fields than Dalton.” The Lions are coming off a strong showing against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens’ offense.
