Rob Gronkowski is one of the toughest players in the NFL, if not the toughest, so you know the Buccaneers tight end was dealing with something serious if he couldn’t play on Sunday night.
We now know exactly what he’s up against.
According to FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer, the Buccaneers’ star tight end is dealing with multiple painful injuries. Gronk told Glazer that he has “four cracked ribs, one broken rib, and a punctured lung,” which is about the only thing keeping him out of this game! There was a lot more damage than there was before. ”
. @RobGronkowski tells me he actually has “four cracked ribs, one broken rib and a punctured lung” which is about the only thing that would have kept him out of this game! So much more damage than was out there. @NFLonFOX

“All of that sounds painful, but man, a punctured lung as well..”
One fan tweeted, “The fact he was even trying to play this week is kind of mind blowing lol.” “Geez..”
After that hit, he returned to the game. Another fan admitted, “I played pickle ball yesterday and my shoulder is killing me.”
“After all those injuries, he came back in and played last week!” “Wow,” one fan exclaimed.
NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport also confirmed the injuries’ validity.
This is true. Amazing he went back into the game last week. https://t.co/QrPtRnelvK
