Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is being slammed by an analyst.

Odell Beckham Jr. became the subject of the trade deadline after statements from his father, Odell Beckham Sr., as well as high-profile sportsmen such as LeBron James, who asked the Cleveland Browns to “Free Odell.”

Beckham is designated as Cleveland’s No. 1 wide receiver, but he’s had a disappointing season, with only 17 catches for 232 yards. His most recent one-catch, six-yard outing against the Steelers was an all-time low for OBJ in Cleveland, prompting his father to tweet a video of all the times Beckham was wide open but not thrown to this season.

The timing of the “Free Odell” movement coincides with the trade deadline, and Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio accused Beckham of orchestrating the controversy in order to force the Browns’ hand.

“Come on, let’s go. Florio told 92.3 The Fan, “I don’t think it’s an accident that both LeBron James and his father stated what they did today.” “I believe there was a well-coordinated effort to bring this to a head.”

Mike Florio of @ProFootballTalk on @923TheFan on Odell Beckham Jr.: “Please, don’t make me laugh. It’s not by chance that both LeBron James and his father stated the things they did today. I believe there was a concerted effort to bring this to a head.”

On the situation in Cleveland, Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson expressed a similar perspective.

“Without a question, Odell has raised the bat signal. It’s awful for many inside the Browns who have tried to make this work and want to do everything they can to avoid this,” Robinson tweeted. “Today’s events felt like a mellowed-down version of Lil Wayne’s interview.”

Odell, without a doubt, has raised the bat signal. It’s awful for those inside the #Browns who have tried to make things work and who want to avoid this type of behavior at all costs. Today’s happenings resemble a mellowed-down version of Lil’ Wayne’s interview. https://t.co/UypnF51xcf
