The Agent for Allen Robinson ‘Likes’ Speculation The Bears are phasing out their wide receiver.

Is wide receiver Allen Robinson on the way out for the Chicago Bears?

Following Chicago’s 33-22 Week 8 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Robinson’s agent Brandon Parker “liked” a tweet that suggested just that. “It definitely feels like there has been a determined attempt to not get Allen Robinson the ball,” Chicago Sun-Times beat writer Russ Dorsey tweeted. I know he’s been hurt, and it could just be that he’s not opening up as much, but they’re not even glancing in his direction.”

There appears to have been a determined effort to keep Allen Robinson from receiving the ball. I know he’s been hurt, and it could just be that the doors aren’t opening as wide as they should be, but they’re not even looking his way. #Bears

Robinson rolled his ankle in the Bears’ Week 5 victory over the Raiders, but he has been able to play through it. In the three games since, he has only nine catches for 90 yards, so the injury, combined with A-Rob still developing on-field chemistry with rookie quarterback Justin Fields, could be contributing to his poor start.

Robinson recently made a statement about his relationship with Fields.

Robinson stated last month about his relationship with Fields, “That’s something we’re continuing to build on, continuing to get reps in practice.” “In training camp, we didn’t take any snaps of any type.” We’re trying to expand on a lot of these things.”

The reason A-Rob and Fields didn’t get many reps is well-known: Bears head coach Matt Nagy was determined on Andy Dalton starting over Fields, thus Dalton got months of practice with the first team leading up to the season’s start, while Fields worked with the second team. As a result, the rookie quarterback has developed a stronger bond with the team’s backups.
