Barcelona has four options for replacing Sergio Aguero, according to reports.

Barelona are considering making a January move to replace Sergio Aguero, who is expected to be out for at least three months due to cardiac tests.

According to Diario Sport, the Catalan giants have already compiled a shortlist of four low-cost attacking players who could be available when the transfer window reopens.

Raheem Sterling of Manchester City has been linked with a move to Camp Nou and is one of the candidates. Sterling is joined by Alexandre Lacazette of Arsenal, Edinson Cavani of Manchester United, and Karim Adeyemi of RB Salzburg, all of whom are 19 years old.

Barcelona’s financial woes are well-known, but chief executive Ferran Reverter has previously stated that the club has €20 million ($23 million) to invest in the winter transfer window.

Barca, on the other hand, will have to compensate Ronald Koeman after the Dutchman was fired, and may possibly have to pay Al Sadd in Qatar €5 million to bring Xavi back to the Camp Nou as coach.

Barcelona Could Sign Who?

Both Lacazette and Cavani are nearing the end of their current contracts, which means they might be available in January for a cheap fee. Both players are far from certain starts at their respective Premier League clubs and could be enticed by other offers.

Sterling has also lost favor with the Premier League winners, making only three Premier League appearances so far in 2021-22. According to The Guardian, the England international has also hinted that a move abroad would interest him.

“I’d be open to going somewhere else for more game time if there was an option,” he stated. “As an English player, I’ve only ever known the Premier League, and I’ve always thought to myself, ‘You know, maybe one day I’d love to go abroad and see how I’d fare against that challenge.'”

Adeyemi is the last name on the list, but due to the club’s financial woes, he is likely to be the most difficult to sign. The teenager is having a fantastic season and has already scored 13 goals, indicating that he will not be cheap and may be out of Barca’s financial reach.
