How to Check Your Age of Empires 4 Multiplayer Rank

How to Check Your Age of Empires 4 Multiplayer Rank

If you’re a new player in Age of Empires 4 and want to see how you stack up against other players, there’s no way to do so unless you look in the game itself.

For those of you who want to play online, AoE 4 launched without a ranked ladder, so it’s just unranked action. When ranked is published, there will most likely be an in-game system similar to Age of Empires 2, although that isn’t an option right now.

While the game is unranked, there is a hidden ELO allowing players to avoid being stomped by exceptionally good players every game. You must play 10 games before appearing on the leaderboard, as this is when your ELO will be determined.

After you’ve finished with that, you may check your rating.

How to Find Out Your Rank

You may check your ranking and see how you compare to the rest of the competition by visiting the official Age of Empires website. More specifically, you can get straight to the page by clicking this link.

You may check your rank in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 from here, as each of them has a separate ranking.

While there is no genuine ranking system, the idea is that you will be matched with other players of similar rank, making the games more fair.

When the ranking ladder is released, it’ll probably be the same concept, except it’ll be front-facing and simpler to locate than a website.

At this time, there is no set date for when the rankings will be announced, so stay tuned for further details.

More balancing is required.

Before a real ranking system is established, the developers will need to address a few issues.

The French are one of the suggested starter civs for players to start with, however they may be a little too dominant. They gain access to the Hulk ships in Feudal Age, which are strong powers on the water and can even be exceedingly powerful in maps with only a river to cross.

They may not require extensive adjustment, but there’s a reason for that… Nokia News – Quick Recap
