Karl-Anthony Towns, a rumored Knicks target, backs ‘#FreeKAT,’ but backtracks.

The enigma surrounding Timberwolves big player Karl-Anthony Towns and his current NBA squad continues to grow. He’s now claiming that his Twitter account was hacked after he liked a Tweet with the hashtag “#FreeKAT.”

Towns is a figure of interest in the Midtown offices because of his many connections to the organization, even if you haven’t been a Knicks fan for long. For two and a half years, he was coached by Tom Thibodeau of the Knicks in Minnesota, and his old Creative Arts Agency agent, Leon Rose, is now the Knicks president.

It’s worth noting whenever Towns appears unhappy in Minnesota. So it was evident that Towns pushed the “Like” button when a Twitter user with the name “@notglxryboy” responded to a Timberwolves tweet depicting Towns rejoicing with the wiseguy comment, “kat when he gets off his minnesota deal,”

Like the photo by KAT, it’s intriguing.

However, after Towns’ statement went viral on Twitter, he swiftly reverted to the “I was hacked” explanation. Towns wrote, “Just reset my password, we’re solid on here now.”

My password has been changed. We’re firmly in place now.

Despite the Timberwolves’ bumbling, Towns has yet to request a trade.

Towns is, without a doubt, one of the game’s best young big men. He’s been in the league for seven years, but he won’t turn 26 until later this month. He’s been an All-Star twice, but injury and COVID-19 troubles have limited him to 85 of 131 games the previous two seasons. He’s had a great start to the season, averaging 23.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 47.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Towns is in the third year of a five-year, $158 million contract extension that does not include a year-end option. That means he’ll be a Viking for two more seasons before becoming a free agent in the summer of 2024.

Before that, the Knicks, among other teams, would like to get a hold of him,… Nokia News – Quick Recap
