Only one Heat player appears to be a fan of the team’s new mashup jersey.

While the first glance at the Miami Heat’s 2021-22 NBA City Edition jersey surfaced in May, the team’s Miami Mashup uniforms were unveiled on November 1, and the squad will wear them against the Boston Celtics on Thursday night.

The Heat’s complete squad will wear “the first uniform in professional sports to include distinct, personalised number styles across each player’s jersey,” as Miami describes the new appearance, and the FTX Arena’s court will also mirror the “Mixtape” idea.

These are the first jerseys that can be customized. When the jerseys are published on November 14th, players will be able to choose the style of the numbers on the back, and spectators will be able to do the same.

Only one Heat player, guard Tyler Herro, has spoken about his thoughts on the new City Edition jerseys since their formal introduction.

“This even surpasses Vice,” remarked Jennifer Alvarez, the Heat’s vice president of creative and digital marketing, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald. “Which is incredibly exciting for us since we know Tyler and how important fashion is to him. Knowing we’re hitting his design aesthetic and having his approval was fantastic.”

Starting Nov. 4, the Heat will introduce their new Miami Mashup jerseys and court.
