After suffering injuries, Barcelona stated on Thursday that Ousmane Dembele and Sergino Dest have been ruled out of play and are ineligible for selection.

Dembele made his return following a four-month layoff as a substitute in Tuesday’s Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev, but he has now been sidelined again due to a hamstring ailment.

The news is just another setback for the Frenchman, who has been hampered by injuries since joining the Catalan giants from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Dest was unable to play in the triumph over Dynamo Kiev and has now been ruled out due to a back injury. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 21-year-old will also miss Saturday’s La Liga match against Celta Vigo and is anticipated to miss the USMNT’s forthcoming World Cup qualifiers against Mexico and Jamaica.

At the Camp Nou, the two players join Pedri, Sergio Aguero, and Martin Braithwaite on the injured list. Barcelona’s match against Celta Vigo on November 6 is the team’s final match before the 2021 international break. The team’s next match is against local rivals Espanyol on November 20 at the Camp Nou.
