‘Stay Tuned for That,’ a Cowboys insider predicts a roster shake-up.

The Dallas Cowboys must decide whether or not their defense was exposed against the Denver Broncos, or if it was just a blip in an otherwise successful season.

The Broncos racked up 407 total yards against the Cowboys, with Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon combining for 190 rushing yards.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson, the Broncos were able to expose some of the Cowboys’ defense’s flaws.

The Cowboys are “retooling” their defense this offseason, according to Robinson, with a particular focus on the linebacker position.

“For starters, the run game annihilated the defense.

On the You Pod to Win the Game podcast on November 8, Robinson explained how they “just got beaten to hell.”

“Javonte Williams and Melvin Gordon destroyed ’em, and I’m talking about the Melvin Gordon touchdown where Micah Parsons was completely destroyed on the edge.”

“And, by the way, if you want to talk about what’s going to happen with the Cowboys next offseason, I’ll be honest with you.”

There’s already talk about retooling some of the run game’s linebackers.

Keep an eye out for that, because the secondary level of that defense is going to get a lot of attention this offseason.”

The Cowboys are expected to be (dollar)8.8 million over the salary cap in 2022, according to Spotrac.

The Cowboys will undoubtedly have to make roster moves to reduce this number, but regardless of future cuts, Dallas is likely to be bargain hunters in free agency once again.
