The ‘RHONY’ Cast Reacts to the Rumored ‘Cast Shakeup’

The cast of ‘RHONY’ responds to rumors of a ‘Cast Shakeup.’

According to Us Weekly, future seasons of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City” could have a new cast.

Ramona Singer, Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, Eboni K Williams, and Leah McSweeney starred in the show’s most recent season.

“[t]here’s talk of a shake-up in the production company,” a source told the publication in June 2021.

“Let’s just say, nobody’s safe,” the insider revealed.

“Producers don’t like the chemistry between the cast — and are wondering if they should go out with the old and in with the new,” a different source said.

“Sonja [Morgan], Luann [de Lesseps], and Ramona [Singer] are all on the chopping block,” the insider explained.

“Tinsley Mortimer is in talks to come back,” the source said, “but nothing is set in stone.”

Kelly Clarkson asked Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps about possible cast changes during an episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in November.

“There have been rumors that a major cast shake-up is coming to ‘Real Housewives of New York,’ so how do you feel about that?” the singer pleaded.

Singer appeared to dismiss the rumors about the show’s casting at first.

She went on to say that she wouldn’t mind if the cast of “RHONY” grew for the next season.

“First of all, you can’t believe everything you read… But I do think we could use some more cast members if we come back… I’d like to see a lot more people come on because I have to haze somebody new,” Singer joked.

Similar comments were made by Luann de Lesseps.

“We’re only five right now, so we have a small cast compared to a lot of the franchises,” de Lesseps explained. “It’s always nice to have new people on the show also, you know, make new friends and experience new personalities and different energy, so I think it’s a good thing,” he added.

In a November 2021 interview, Andy Cohen discussed “RHONY.”
