Amber Portwood Keeps Fans Up to Date on Her Son, James

Amber Portwood, star of MTV’s “Teen Mom OG,” isn’t allowed to film with her 3-year-old son James, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t see him.

The Indiana native revealed that she sees her youngest child, James, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon.

Not so with Leah, Portwood’s 13-year-old daughter with ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley.

The mother-daughter relationship has broken down, and Leah has requested some time apart from her biological mother.

On November 12, 2021, Portwood, 31, went live on Instagram and answered a fan question about James.

According to The Sun, who obtained a recording of the live stream, she said the toddler “is fine.”

“Do you see your son on a regular basis?” someone inquired.

When Portwood read the question, she sighed.

“I feel like that’s a question I get asked every time I come on here, and I always reply, yes, I do.”

“Always,” she said.

“I’m going to see him tomorrow.”

Amber Leann Portwood (@realamberlportwood1__) shared this on her Instagram account.

After Glennon posted a cryptic message on Instagram in August 2021, rumors began to circulate that Portwood had hit her son.

He didn’t name Portwood or James.

He wrote, “You hit your baby boy?…Really?!?”

Glennon, who has primary custody of James, deleted the post, but not before screenshots on the Teen Mom Tea fan account were taken.

“Here’s the thing: this is where the beauty is.

Losses will mount if justice is not served.

According to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, he continued, “Time perspires.”

Glennon and Portwood aren’t allowed to talk about James on social media, according to their custody agreement.

The following month, Portwood filed court papers asking for full custody of James.

According to The Sun, “Father posted a statement on social media accusing Mother of hitting the parties’ child, then deleted the post… screenshots of his post were made public.”

Glennon’s actions “directly violate the provisions of the Mediated Agreement adopted on October 23, 2019, and the provisions of the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines,” according to the court filing obtained by The Sun.

Glennon and Portwood divorced in July of this year.

According to the Indy Star, she allegedly wielded a machete at her then-boyfriend, who was holding their son.
