The ‘Dumb’ Buccaneers are slammed by Bruce Arians.

On the ‘Dumb’ Buccaneers, Bruce Arians speaks out.

After the Buccaneers’ surprising loss to the Washington Football Team, head coach Bruce Arians did not hold back in calling his team a “dumb football team” during his postgame press conference.

Arians went on to say that the coaching staff is to blame for the team’s lack of awareness.

“Energy and passion are very fixable,” Arians said during a press conference on November 14. “The penalties, they have to be corrected sooner or later.”

“I mean, we’re shifting and jumping offsides on the first play of the game, and they don’t even run a play, and we jump offsides.”

Although the Buccaneers only committed six penalties against Washington, Arians is concerned about the pattern of errors that have plagued the team in the first half of the season.

If there is any good news, it is that the Bucs have been trending downward in penalties over the last three games, averaging 6 per game.

Here’s the complete postgame press conference from Arians.

“That we could play as badly as we did.”

For about eight or nine minutes, we played with sufficient passion and energy.

We need to show up on Sundays to win games in this [league].

We’re working hard Monday through Friday, but we’re not here on Sundays.”

‘Had Nothing to Do With the Receivers,’ says Arians of Brady’s interception.

Arians also remarked on Tom Brady’s performance.

When asked if the Buccaneers’ receivers were to blame for some of Brady’s interceptions, Arians pointed to…
