The defensive end has been out with a broken foot since Week 1 and is now on the Injured Reserve list.

Lawrence’s definition of soon is unknown, as multiple reports claim he is still a few weeks away from returning.

Lawrence will be “at least two weeks away from returning,” according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

“During practice this week, DE DeMarcus Lawrence continued to work off to the side on resistance cords,” Machota reported on November 13.

“He’ll be back in at least two weeks.”

Lawrence said, ‘I feel great,’ as he walked past reporters on Thursday.

‘All I have to do now is get out onto the field.’

I’ll be ready whenever they call my name.’

Randy Gregory (@randygregory_94) shared a post.

Lawrence joined Randy Gregory on Injured Reserve heading into Week 10, putting the Cowboys’ top two pass rushers on the shelf.

Gregory will be out for at least two more games due to the designation.

Lawrence “still has a long way to go before he’s back,” according to ESPN’s Todd Archer.

“With Randy Gregory out for several weeks, DeMarcus Lawrence’s return from a broken foot takes on new meaning,” Archer tweeted on November 11.

“There’s still a long way for Lawrence to travel before he returns.”

Lawrence was ‘a couple weeks’ away from returning, according to McCarthy.

In light of Gregory’s injury, McCarthy refuted the notion that Lawrence was under more pressure to return to the field.

Lawrence is still “a couple weeks” away from returning, according to the Cowboys coach, but the two pass rushers are on different recovery paths.

“It’s separate,” McCarthy says, “and you have to trust the injury rehabilitation process.”
