Ousmane Dembele’s ‘Mission’ at Barcelona is revealed by Dani Alves.

After returning to Barcelona for a second spell with the Catalan giants, Dani Alves has revealed that he is on a mission to get the best out of Ousmane Dembele.

After being introduced as a Barcelona player at a ceremony at the club, the Brazilian spoke about Dembele at a press conference.

The 38-year-old lauded the Frenchman and stated that he hopes to instill some faith in the youngster.

He said, “I think Dembélé is an exceptional player.”

“He needs to understand that he is a Barça player.”

It’s my mission to remind him of that, to remind him that he’s really good, phenomenal, and capable of great things at this club.”

Dembele joined Barcelona in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund, but his time at the Camp Nou has been marred by injuries.

The forward returned from knee surgery on November 2 in a Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev, making his first appearance of the season.

After the game, Barcelona announced that the attacker had picked up a hamstring injury and would be out for the remainder of the season.

He said, “I’ve spoken with Dest, and we’re here to help each other.”

“He appears to be a fantastic player.”

He possesses all of the necessary attributes to be a great football player.

These players must be backed up.

We’re here to help them achieve their goals.”

Dest’s preferred position is right-back, but due to injuries in attack, he has also played further forward this season and covered for Jordi Alba at left-back.

However, the youngster is currently out with a back injury, missing the USMNT’s World Cup qualifying matches against Jamaica and Mexico.

Alves wants to bring Barcelona together.

Barcelona’s newest addition also expressed his desire to unite the squad at the Camp Nou.

After a poor start, the team is currently in ninth place in La Liga, 11 points behind the leaders.
