Davante Adams on Justin Jefferson of the Vikings: ‘He’s Aging Like a Dog.’

‘He’s Aging Like a Dog,’ says Packers Davante Adams of Vikings Justin Jefferson.

Davante Adams, a Green Bay Packers All-Pro receiver, compares Justin Jefferson to a dog — and not in a derogatory way.

The four-time Pro Bowler, who led the NFL with 18 receiving touchdowns last season, discussed how the Minnesota Vikings’ 22-year-old star wideout has played above his years and continues to improve.

“When I watch him play, I see a six-year veteran.”

According to Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Adams said, “He looked like he was already in his fourth season last year.”

“Right now, he’s aging like a dog in its purest form, because he’s a dog out there,” says the author.

It’s no surprise that Adams thinks so.

During the offseason, he and Jefferson worked out together to improve their game.

In January, Jefferson said on the Pat McAfee Show, “The best train with the best.”

“Of course, I’d like to work out with the league’s best players.”

Davante Adams and Stefon Diggs are two players I’ve spoken with.

Odell [Beckham Jr.] is a football player who plays for the New York Giants.

After speaking with those different guys, I’d like to train with them and see what kind of information they can provide to help me improve my game.”

With 864 receiving yards on the season, Adams is in third place in the league, while Jefferson is in sixth place with 775 yards.

Jefferson is lauded by Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.

As the two teams prepare for their NFC North showdown on Sunday, Adams wasn’t the only member of the Packers to praise Jefferson.

“LaFleur said he loved (hashtag)Vikings WR Justin Jefferson coming out of college and did a lot of work on him,” Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reporter Tom Silverstein reported Wednesday.

According to Silverstein, LaFleur said, “He’s a dynamic playmaker and he’s proven that in this league.”

Before the Vikings selected Jefferson with the No. 1 overall pick, the Packers reportedly tried to trade up for him, according to Silverstein.

In the 2020 draft, the number 22 overall pick is available.
