The season of the Denver Broncos hangs in the balance.

Colorado’s football team has a.500 record of 5-5 after ten weeks of play.

A perfect 3-0 start devolved into a nightmare month of four losses in a row.

With their season on the line, the Broncos rallied with wins against Washington and Dallas, reviving a season. Inevitably, however, there was another twist–Philadelphia quickly snuffed out Denver’s sails before their bye week.

Although the loss has lingered in Broncos Country since Sunday’s 30-13 loss, defensive tackle Shelby Harris is looking forward to the team’s rest week.

The Bye Week Arrives Just in Time

On November 15, Harris said, “This bye week is actually [at]a perfect time.”

“Right now, we’re 5-5, so go away.”

For a moment, forget about it.

Relax, reset your mind, and come back because this seven-game stretch [is]going to be crucial.

“It’s time for you to get out and relax.”

I truly believe that this is the ideal bye week for us; clear your mind, and we’ll be here to chase them away when we return; I truly believe that this is the ideal bye week for us.

Despite his strong play and the emergence of Dre’Mont Jones, Denver’s defense struggled mightily against Philadelphia and quarterback Jalen Hurts.

The Eagles rushed for 216 yards and 34:58 minutes of possession, a (plus)9 minute advantage.

What went wrong for Denver, according to Harris, was their inability to execute.

“They only had the run-pass option,” he said, “and it was a bunch of big plays.”

“It’s just a question of gap accountability.”

There were a few big plays that accounted for a significant portion of their rush yards, and we’ve all got to be accountable, go out there, and do our jobs.

“All we have to do now is be more disciplined,” says the narrator.
