Spencer Brown Update: Bills’ Rookie OL in Danger of Missing Two Games

Spencer Brown Update: Bills’ Rookie OL in Danger of Being Sidelined for Two Games

COVID-19 has dealt the Buffalo Bills yet another setback, with the infection sidelining a key member of the offensive line for the next two games.

On Thursday, the team announced that offensive tackle Spencer Brown would be joining wide receiver Jake Kumerow on the COVID-19 reserve list.

Brown, the team’s third-round pick, has established himself as one of the best offensive linemen and has earned a starting spot.

Brown may be forced to miss both of Buffalo’s upcoming games due to the team’s short turnaround.

Brown’s Situation Is Uncertain

Brown’s availability in the future will be determined by his vaccination status, as Dan Lavoie of SB Nation’s Buffalo Rumblings pointed out.

Because of the timing of the team’s announcement, Brown is almost certain to miss Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts, and he may also miss the team’s Thanksgiving game four days later.

“An asymptomatic, vaccinated Brown might be able to play against the Saints this week,” Lavoie wrote.

“He wouldn’t have that luxury otherwise.”

Of course, whether or not Brown receives the vaccine, we can only hope that his symptoms are minor.

Fans of the Buffalo Bills will remember how the virus ravaged Dion Dawkins over the summer, setting him up for a difficult season this year.”

In recent weeks, the Bills have lost a number of players to the COVID-19 reserve list, including backup quarterbacks Jake Fromm and Mitch Trubisky.

Davis Webb was left as Josh Allen’s backup against the Jets, and he came in late in the fourth quarter to mop up.

Star Lotulelei, a defensive tackle, was placed on the reserve list on Sunday, and his status remained unknown as of Wednesday.

“I’m not sure,” says the speaker.

When asked if Lotulelei could play against the Colts, McDermott said via video conference, “He’s still in that COVID process this morning.”

“It appears to be fine, you know.”

That’s all I have to say about it.

So, I don’t see him.”

Brown’s performance is praised.

Brown had already been unable to participate in two games…
