Teresa Giudice Opens Up About When She Realized Joe Giudice’s Marriage Was Over

Teresa Giudice reveals the moment she realized Joe Giudice’s marriage was over.

Teresa Giudice revealed new information about her decision to divorce her first husband, Joe Giudice.

Teresa revealed to Cynthia Bailey on “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” that the jail sentences she and her ex-husband served for fraud charges were the final straw in their marriage.

Teresa revealed that her husband was sent away three months after she finished her nearly year-long prison sentence and “never came home.” He served 41 months in prison before being deported to Italy, according to The Knot.

Teresa admitted that she “thought it was going to work out” between her and Joe at first, but after her mother died, she became resentful of him because she felt robbed of time with her.

“And then, when he got out,” she said of Joe, “I was like, ‘When I see him, this will be my true test.”

Teresa revealed that her then-husband tried to kiss her after they reunited, but she was unable to reciprocate.

“I hate to say this, but one night, he laid on top of me with our clothes on, and he tried to kiss me, and I couldn’t even open my mouth,” she explained.

“I was simply… disconnected.”

“I didn’t feel anything” for Joe at the time, the mother of four added.

Teresa admitted to her fans on the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” in early 2020 that her husband of 20 years said something similar to her.

“Today, Joe said the craziest s*** to me,” she told her brother after she visited him at a detention center where he was temporarily assigned, according to People.

‘I just want you to know, I have no feelings for you,’ he said. ‘Go find someone else.’

‘I’m not going to be angry.’

Joe Giudice admitted that his marriage would have ended in divorce.

Teresa and Joe had been sweethearts since high school.

Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana were born after their marriage in 1999.

They divorced after twenty years and two prison terms.

Even if Joe hadn’t been deported, Joe told Us Weekly in 2021 that he doesn’t think his marriage to Teresa would have lasted.

He also stated that he “really misses being married.”

“What makes you think I’d want to go back to that?” he asks.
