Following a second bout of COVID, Biden tests negative

Biden, who at 79 is the oldest US president in history, has been under quarantine for the past week after testing positive for the virus after experiencing what is known as a “rebound” case, which involves an initial recovery.

A few days after contracting the illness a second time, US President Joe Biden tested negative for Covid-19 on Saturday.

According to a statement from Biden’s doctor Kevin O’Connor, “The President continues to feel very well.”

He tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 antigen this morning.

Biden, who at 79 is the oldest US president in history, has been under quarantine for the past week after testing positive for the virus after experiencing what is known as a “rebound” case, which involves an initial recovery.

Biden will visit Kentucky, a southern state that recently experienced devastating floods, on Monday, according to his official itinerary.
