Due to injury, Harshal Patel will not play in the T20I series against the West Indies.

Harshal Patel is no longer eligible to play in the T20I series between India and the West Indies.

The fourth and fifth Twenty20 Internationals against the West Indies will not be played because of pacer Harshal Patel’s injury, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday.

Harshal has been disqualified from the series, according to a statement from the board, because he has not yet fully recovered from his rib injury.

Note that Harshal did not participate in even one game of the current T20I series.

The BCCI released a statement saying that Harshal Patel would not be able to play in the final two T20 Internationals against the West Indies because he had not fully recovered from his rib injury.

Prior to that, West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran made the decision to field against India in the fourth T20I after winning the toss.

Sanju Samson, Axar Patel, and Ravi Bishnoi replaced Shreyas Iyer, Hardik Pandya, and Ravichandran Ashwin in India’s starting lineup.

The five-match series is currently 2-1 in favor of Team India.

On Sunday, Florida will host the fifth and final T20I match.

After Suryakumar Yadav played an unbeaten knock of 76, India had won the third T20I by seven wickets.

Under Shikhar Dhawan’s leadership, India had previously won the ODI series 3-0.

The ODIs did not include players like Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, or Rohit Sharma.
