Using technical superiority to defeat Nigeria’s Ebikewenimo Welson in the men’s 57kg final at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, wrestler Ravi Dahiya captured his first major gold medal.

Following the three victories on Friday by Deepak Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia in wrestling, this is India’s fourth gold.

Ravi Kaumar Dahiya, who won silver at the Tokyo Olympics, was also superior to his competition.

He defeated Pakistan’s Asad Ali and New Zealand’s Suraj Singh to win both of his matches, and he repeated the feat in the championship match.
