On Sunday, the first commercial flight of Akasa Air will be greeted by the aviation minister.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, a renowned investor, supports Akasa Air, which received its air operator certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation on July 7.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, the minister of civil aviation, will launch Akasa Air’s first commercial flight on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad route on Sunday.

Akasa Air received its air operator certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on July 7. It is supported by renowned investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and aviation pioneers Aditya Ghosh and Vinay Dube.

On Sunday, the airline’s first flight is scheduled to leave Mumbai at 09:30 and arrive in Ahmedabad at 11:25.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation tweeted on Saturday that Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, the honorable Minister of Civil Aviation, would flag off Akasa Air’s inaugural flight.

In addition, Akasa Air will begin operating on the Bengaluru-Kochi, Bengaluru-Mumbai, and Chennai-Mumbai routes on August 13, August 19, and September 15, respectively.
