Petrol Pump Worker Run Over in Uttar Pradesh; 4 Arrested: Police

According to Superintendent of Police (Rural), Akhilesh Narayan, the incident was reported on Friday from the Shikohabad region.

Police reported on Saturday that a gas station employee was killed in Uttar Pradesh after being allegedly run over by a car while asking its occupants to pay for gas.

They added that four people had been detained in relation to the incident.

According to Superintendent of Police (Rural), Akhilesh Narayan, the incident was reported on Friday from the Shikohabad region.

Four people arrived at the gas station in a car around 10.30 p.m. on Friday, and Sher Singh (50), who died, filled the tank with fuel worth Rs 1,020.

According to the SP, when Sher Singh asked the car’s occupants to pay for the gas, they berated him and made an attempt to flee.

Sher Singh was allegedly run over by the car as he chased it, according to the police officer.

The severely hurt gas station employee was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The SP stated that the suspect was taken into custody early on Saturday and that his body had been given over for an autopsy.
