Trump Refers to Dick Cheney as a “Great Guy” in Video That Resurfaced Following “Coward” Ad.

In a video that reappeared after a “Coward” ad, Trump calls Dick Cheney a “great guy.”

After criticizing Trump as a “coward” in a reelection campaign ad for his daughter, Representative Liz Cheney, former Vice President Dick Cheney called former President Donald Trump a “great guy” in a video that surfaced.

Following the assault on the US Capitol building on January 6, 2021, when a mob of Trump supporters rioted to prevent Congress from certifying President Joe Biden’s electoral victory on the basis of unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud, Representative Cheney, a Republican from Wyoming, became one of Trump’s most vocal GOP detractors.

Cheney, one of only two Republicans on the committee looking into the uprising, was one of the 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump for his alleged role in inciting the riot.

Trump and GOP voters in her district seem to have taken offense at her stern rebuke of the former president, with Trump endorsing her attorney opponent in the GOP primary.

In light of the declining odds for her reelection, Cheney released a new campaign ad this week that also criticizes Trump and features her Republican father, who served as George W. Bush’s vice president from 2001 to 2009.

Nobody has ever posed a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump, he claimed, in the 246 years of our country’s existence.

“After the voters rejected him, he attempted to rig the most recent election by lying and using force to maintain his position of power.

He is a coward; a real man wouldn’t tell the truth to his allies.

An older video of Trump praising Vice President Cheney in 2018 resurfaced on Twitter as the campaign advertisement gained popularity; it had been seen nearly 8 million times as of Saturday morning.

On June 20, 2018, while in a meeting with lawmakers, Trump is seen joking around with both the congresswoman and Rep. Adam Kinzinger, an Illinois Republican who has since turned into a fervent Trump opponent.

Howard Mortman, the director of communications for C-SPAN, posted the video, which has received over 20,000 views.

When Cheney gave updates on the House Republicans’ plans to pass an appropriations bill, Trump and Cheney were discussing defense policy.
