Despite the harsh criticism from woke critics, Chris Pratt’s new thriller The Terminal List scores huge ratings.

The Terminal List, a new thriller series starring Chris Pratt, shocked smart critics last week when it surpassed other programs to take the top spot.

2 on the list of the most streamed shows in the country.

‘The Terminal List,’ starring Pratt as a US Navy Seal, amassed an astounding 1.6 billion minutes of streaming on Amazon Prime between July 4 and July 10, the show’s first full week on the platform following its July 1 premiere.

Fans love the show, but the thrilling military series was derided by critics.

A writer for The Hollywood Reporter named Daniel Fienberg was among them. He described it as “the entertainment equivalent of a charred hockey puck, with the same limited range of flavor and aesthetics.”

The responses from viewers, however, couldn’t have been more disparate. While some referred to the series as “great” and “excellent,” another said that the critics “got this one wrong as usual.”

Rotten Tomatoes, a website that rates movies based on reviews from critics and viewers, revealed a shocking 94100 from viewers but a dismal 40100 from critics.

The hit ranching drama Yellowstone, which was shunned by critics but enjoyed millions of viewers to become the most watched TV program in the country, appears to be The Terminal List’s model.

When discussing the discrepancy on Tucker Carlson Tonight in early July, author Jack Carr, whose book The Terminal List served as the inspiration for the adaptation, said, “It seems to have triggered quite a few of these critics.”

We did not create it for the detractors.

For the people in the arena, we made it.

In addition, Carr, a former Navy Seal, said, “We made it for the soldier, sailor, airman, and Marine that went downrange to Iraq and Afghanistan.

It brings to mind how people reacted to Kevin Costner’s cowboy drama “Yellowstone,” which was produced by Paramount(plus).

Yellowstone, which Taylor Sheridan directed and wrote the majority of, became an instant hit with viewers despite being labeled as “anti-woke.”

Despite drawing more than 10 million viewers, it did not experience the same success within the Hollywood industry and was largely ignored at award shows.

Chris Pratt, who starred in Jurassic World and Marvel’s “The Terminal List,” has never publicly discussed his alleged political beliefs, but has recently come under scrutiny for them. Pratt is also well known for his roles in Marvel and Jurassic World.

The transgender actor Elliot Page claimed that Pratt’s church, Hillsong Church, in Los Angeles, was “anti-LGBTQ,” which sparked a controversy regarding Pratt’s religious convictions.
