EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Robbie Williams sells his £8.1 million country house for £6.75 million.

Despite the fact that country house prices have soared as a result of the pandemic, pop star Robbie Williams has agreed to sell his rural idyll for a huge discount after learning it is haunted.

I’ve heard the former Take That singer has accepted an offer on Compton Bassett House in Wiltshire after slashing the asking price by £1.35 million — more than five times the average British house price.

He and his wife, former X Factor judge Ayda Field, 42, paid £8.1 million for the seven-bedroom home in 2008.

Last September, they put it on the market with a guide price of £6.75 million.

She doesn’t have it any longer.

“That room scares me,” Teddy explained.

You are no longer required to sleep there.”

‘I believe that great grief, great pain, or tragedy can soak into the walls and leave an essence there that lasts for a very, very long time,’ he added.

A nearby landfill site, which locals claim emits a ‘horrible odor,’ is also said to have turned off potential buyers.

In 2013, residents complained about the dump’s ‘obnoxious’ pong.

Matt Hancock, who resigned as Health Secretary after being photographed in a steamy embrace with his married aide Gina Coladangelo, is still considered deserving of freebies.

The MP revealed that he was given four £400 tickets to Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball at London’s O2 Arena, where pop stars such as Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran performed.

Hancock, who was dressed in a black turtleneck sweater and jeans, was clearly enjoying himself as he sang along to Sheeran’s…
