The filming of HBO’s Batgirl in Glasgow continues as a Batman and Robin mural is erected.

On Tuesday, filming for HBO’s Batgirl film, which stars Leslie Grace as the titular character and Michael Keaton as the Dark Knight himself, continued in Glasgow.

As the city’s transformation into Gotham nears completion, crew members were seen using machinery to hoist a brick wall mural of Batman and Robin into place, while elsewhere a billboard for fictional coffee shop Sundollar was given its finishing touches.

Set dressers appeared to be converting a local newsagent into a flower shop in other photos, while fellow crew members appeared to be debating the set’s development.

Props were moved into place with heavy machinery, and the crew wore high-visibility bibs.

Others huddled around a wooden workbench in paint-splattered workwear.

The crew members were also seen stopping by a small hut selling Dutch pancakes while taking a break.

Residents in Glasgow were given free earplugs and blackout blinds as a result of the filming of HBO Max’s upcoming film, which saw crew members erect graffiti-covered boards featuring Batman, teacups, and crabs onto walls on Monday.

Acting as the fictional Gotham, where Batman and his femme fatale cousin live, Scotland’s second city is said to be filled with late-night car chases.

American Night, the production company behind the blockbuster, is said to have mailed letters to local residents and businesses as a warning.

The streets of the city’s Trongate district will be transformed into scenes from a superhero movie for those who live there.

Pedestrian management and flashing lights have been implemented.

‘We mentioned in our previous letter that due to the anti-social hours of some of our work, we can provide black-out material for windows andor foam earplugs to anyone who feels they may need them,’ the note reads, according to the Daily Record.

‘Glasgow City Council has granted us permission to erect temporary road closures during our filming and related work to ensure the safety of both the general public and our film crew while we work near these roads.’

‘As previously stated, pedestrian management may be required in the area.’

‘This may mean that we have to ask people to wait for a short time before being escorted to and from their destination for those homes and businesses in the immediate vicinity.’

‘We understand that this may be inconvenient, and we will make every effort to minimize wait times.’
