Would you rather have a £750k two-bed flat in Sandbanks or a £1.3m four-bed house?

Sandbanks is home to some of the most expensive real estate in the country, and it ticks all the boxes for buyers looking to relocate from the city to the coast.

It has sandy beaches, panoramic sea views, and a small housing supply, which keeps demand – and prices – high.

Many of the older homes in the area have been demolished to make way for modern structures that would be at home along the California coast.

However, to buy a home in this affluent part of the south coast, you’ll need a lot of cash: according to Zoopla, the average house price has risen £56,571 in the last year to £1,628,772.

In this installment of our Property Battle series, we look at two properties for sale in Sandbanks, Dorset, and ask which one you would prefer to buy.

The first is a £750,000 two-bedroom apartment located just over 300 meters from Sandbanks’ sandy beaches.

The flat is in a gated community with its own private garden and parking space.

The property allows pets and holiday rentals, so it could be used to generate revenue.

Fine and Country estate agents are selling it.

‘This modern apartment is the perfect home for a buyer looking to take advantage of living in an enviable location right in the heart of Sandbanks,’ said Daniel Copley of Zoopla.

‘This property has the best of both worlds in that it is a short distance from the area’s award-winning and bustling sandy beaches while also being within a secure gated development.’

The second property is a £1,295,000 modern house located 450 yards from sandy beaches.

It’s part of the Blue Waters development, which consists of six three-story homes.

The home has underfloor heating throughout, four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, and a double garage.

It also has landscaped gardens in the front and back, making it ideal for entertaining friends and family.

Fine and Country estate agents are selling the property.

‘With its sleek, contemporary exterior and beautifully landscaped gardens, this spectacular home wouldn’t look out of place on the Californian coastline,’ said Zoopla’s Daniel Copley.

‘With the property’s open plan kitchen and dining area, it’s also the ideal place to entertain family and friends for summer barbeques and dinner parties.’
